Brothers

Real life rant: Oh man, moving in the middle of the week and scheduling it around your work hours sucks.

Hey look, a funny comic!

Nothing negative to say on my end today folks. It's strips like this that remind me why I still read PvP.

I haven't laughed out loud at PvP in a while, but this one made me. Great strip.

That was funny. But I think the "or anything" was unnecessary and diluted the punchline a bit.

Very good strip and a wink at people who though Skull might return that way.

I liked todays comic quite a bit. Once more Scott handles Francis far more deftly than any of the 'adult' characters. And Skull is strong tweaking him.

@TheTrouble: I don't know man, losing the "or anything" makes him sound like some kind of molester to me.

Man, Skull looks really weird in the last panel to me for some reason. Partially because he's got the same expression on his face as in the third panel but it's drawn totally differently (I much prefer big-mouth Skull, which is much more three-dimensional-looking but admittedly not as prolific in comics as two-dimensional mouths drawn onto blank faces), but mostly it's because of his chest and belly.

Skull also looked really small until I remembered that Francis is bigger than he used to be. That was funny to me. Anyway, this strip is good. Solid writing.

I've been noticing that Skull has been looking a little "off model", head to body ratio mostly. SK is all digital now so maybe this was a by-product of that or maybe he's is trying to humanize Skull.

Yeah Skull looks like he lost some weight. Maybe after the Triumph dig "its you, you just made yourself blue and are trying to sell it" He though to make him skinnier :).

Francis' first line doesn't sit well with me. The pause feels like it's on the wrong side of the 'maybe' and that the 'my' should be emphasised instead of the 'big'.

@ Rdy:

I hadn't noticed that originally, but agreed.

@jlivingston - yeah that's probably true. I just think it should have ended on "changing body" since that's where the laugh is.

Maybe it's just the "or anything" that bugs me, a few days ago we had Skull deliver the line "Okay... Well, I'm here if you want me to pet you or anything". Even "or something" would have been better to keep away a little be of redundancy.

@jai:

Skull normally has an underbite. In the last panel, he appears to have an overbite.

Hilarious strip, though.

Re: Register to Vote.

This comic resonates with me, because I actually made the exact same threat as Cole did to my room-mates. Although I threatened to imprison them in their rooms =P

@ aaaantoine:

Ah! That is true, and I wasn't quite realizing it.

Re: Friday's strip:

Is Jade wearing a t-shirt, or did Kurtz just forget to color in her arm?

Reader said...

Just had a look at it again...

Since her neck is also bare I'm guessing t-shirt.

Is this a first? Or am I just not observant enough? :)

Uhg, cardinal sin of panel layout, don't switch your character positions mid-comic (it's got a name but I can't think of it right now). Panel 3 Francis and Marcy are now behind jade, and she's looking backwards?? I assume that wasn't Cole speaking.

So Cole is really a die-hard liberal who obstructs free elections? Is there a joke in there somewhere?
