While the TARDIS is a rockin…

Art - No problems as the detail remains great and the object in Brent's hand has a lot of detail; I just have no idea what it is, due to not being a Doctor Who fan. Two notes: 1) Jade in the last frame had a white sweater against a black background that was switched after a few minutes. 2) The detail of the door that is present in 1,2 is lost in the last frame.

Story - Again not a Doctor fan, so it goes over my head. So I really can't speak to whether it is good or bad.

One side note - Scott had a commission of Brent and Jade that can be seen here. If this is the only thing we agree upon Rene, who does Anders Loves Maria, is a great artist in many different styles. I contributed to her donation drive and got a 4" x 6" piece of art and it was awesome.

Second side note - A large loss in the superhero community today. I'm not going to spoil it but if he/she stays dead one of the major studios lost a major character. Just please don't eff it up.

Is it me or is the dialogue in the middle panel 'off'? It just doesn't seem to make sense. How is "I'm from your future." a response to "You don't look like the Doctor."?

Nah it makes sense - the Doctor changes appearance every few series (basically, he 'regenerates' - it's a handy way to explain how they've kept the show going for 40-odd years, despite the fact the original doctor was like a million when the show started...dead stars don't make for a long-lived series!), so Brent's just saying he's from a future series.

Having said that, I'm English and I have no idea what the hell Brent is meant to be saying in the first and last panels. *sigh, this is just like the time J. K. Rowling resurrected 'wothcer' from the 18th century...*

Allons-y is an expression used by the Tenth Doctor first used in the episode "Army of Ghosts." It's French for "let's go." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenth_Doctor

@Chris - if that's the explanation then it's a bit painful as it drops 'out-of-character' vs the rest of his lines. A clearer reply might have been "Uh... I regenerated!".

I think the first panel is just supposed to be "what?" in an English accent. It is a little odd though, because from what I've seen on TV most Americans don't seem to pronounce that word in a significantly different way.

Sonic screwdrivers are for sissies. Now recorders are where it's at.

I always pegged Brent as the kind of guy who would gravitate to the Patrick Troughton or the Tom Baker Doctors, rather than the newer ones. I like the goofy Doctors rather than the serious ones.

I hope that some funny jokes come from this funny idea!

Are you saying the new series is serious? The show has never been goofier than it is now. It is common for it to even be referred to as a comedy by new fans.

Perhaps he would, D, but Brent - excuse me, I mean SK - has only seen the new Doctor Who.

Most Americans on TV seem to pronounce it "whut" (short-u), whereas the English Received Pronunciation sounds more like "wawt" ("aw" sounds like "awe").

Yeah, you can certainly see why it appeals to SK. I mean, that idiot RTD (thanks for bringing the Doc back but he's still a moron - glad he's gone and Moffat is in) brought us farting aliens.

Tennant is a more fun-loving doctor but Troughton played the recorder and was essentially a hobo. A space/time traveling hobo! Baker, who is my doctor, is probably the goofiest of all with his jelly babies, scarf and hat.

The episodes are funnier but the character is sedate compared to some of the older ones.
