Yes, I do recommend it; its very popularity is what recommends it. It is the ultimate example that web comics can have mainstream appeal, and shouldn't be disregarded by the industry just because they're web comics.

I've always been the first to admit that I'm far from a reasonable artist or art critique. So, I'd like to take a moment to brag on someone who really does know his stuff.
Toby Cypress (http://tobycypress.blogspot.com/) is someone I met a long time ago, before he got any serious recognition for his talent. His cousin and I went to school together. Once I heard about his blog (http://tobycypress.blogspot.com/), I just had to tell you guys about him. He had some really great work all over his house back when I first met him, state-of-the-"art" quality. And, I can't believe how so much better he's gotten over the last 10 years since I've seen him last.
