Elsewheres

I've liked PVP more than usual recently, and a bunch of other strips have been funny lately as well -- let's take a break from whinging about PVP for a moment!

What does everyone else read?

What? Take a break from whining? That's exactly what I come here for! That's it. Pvpmakesmesad Makes Me Sad.

You better watch yourself, FSM, or a PVP Makes Me Sad Makes Me Sad blog might pop up!

Jumped the shark!

Take that back, pvp sucks balls, Kurtz is generally a lameass ho for getting rid of comments.

No really, in general the comic isn't that bad, the story is just kind of bleah and while Scott can certainly draw I feel like the guy hasn't lived much so can't really speak from experience or storytell outside of his tiny world view. How to make $$$ off of webcomics, sure. How to tell a story well? Apparently don't have to.

I've been reading octopus pie, on your recommendation, lately. That story better pick up some steam real soon or I might abandon it.

In addition to PA and PvP I like this comic: www.bitsmack.com

Here's one I like:

as far as other webcomics go, the first few chapters of gunnerkrigg court can match anything out there (be warned, it's drama) It's lost a little steam and he's changed his art (for the worse I feel) but still an interesting strip.

As for recent pvp, my big gripe is this: Who assumes two sixteen year old suburban/middle class kids had unprotected sex? That just doesn't make any sense.

OK, question. What does the term "metadata" mean in the context that I see it used in these comments from time to time?

Much as every hates Ctrl Alt Del, hes managing to get rid of the difficulties a baby would provide. Yay miscarriages.

Isn't the whole "making fun of Garfield" schtick getting a little old?

Whenever a web-comic artist is short on ideas, they just make a strip complaining about Garfield.

Get over it.

Ha well CAD was very goo dand well written and honest, I just cant get over the fact that Lucas is pouring his heart out to a girl that hes staying with just for the sex.

I hope thats not "bashing" it though

Im a touch worried that this will be another abrupt ending. Hopefully it will just be a change of scenery but the story will continue.

Dear Duck:
"OK, question. What does the term "metadata" mean in the context that I see it used in these comments from time to time?"

That was my bad joke. people were making meta-jokes about this site, and I just turned that phrase. poorly.

I like todays strip, as its a nice play on mr burns' catchphrase. as always robbie/butler comedy comes through.

Lately I've been reading Nobody Scores. The basic premise is that every comic ends in horrific misfortune. The comics are really big and the art is great. Here is a favorite of mine, about Rafael, the friend who Brings the Fun. Read!
