Before I start I'll say this was likely in my top 3 favorites of PVP strips since PVPMMS has started.
Art - Let's start with the small problems: Brent's fingers are fused in panel one. The shading is done well throughout except for one spot: Brent's chin in panel 1-2. I know Scott is trying to show there is a chin there, but maybe the redesign he mentioned would be better. Also, I don't know why there is shade of Brent's ponytail in the last panel, unless his head is blocking out the sun from whatever angle it is at.
Like some of the commenters said before the last panel is the best overall art piece of a PVP character in years. Also, the Doctor remains drawn well throughout and again I think you can tell Scott loves to draw him
Story - Again not a Doctor Who fan but this strip wasn't about pop culture minutia. It was about Brent's girlish glee for tagging along with the Doctor, Scott did a great job with that, and the last panel was hilarious.

I'm SHOCKED that we don't have a new DING! like Scott said we would "Ding strips will return next Wednesday on a once-a-week schedule".
Hey man, he's putting PvP in grayscale. Let's not expect the poor guy to walk and chew gum at the same time.
"walk and chew gum at the same time"
Man that was so very funny
Brent did the same thing with Superman. Maybe he's bi, but represses his arousal by males to the point his subconscious will only attribute it to fictional characters.
Where is Scott (or Kurtz) today to notice the affection and respect that we are raining on him? It's a shame that he only seems to notice (or care) when this website is overly critical of his baby, and bothers not when we are happy with his output.
I'd like to say that I love the story so far, particularily in the art department, although the strips seem to be posting later and later. What's with that?
I have to agree that the final panel was extremely well done in pretty much every way. The art was great, the joke was fantastic, it was really Kurtz at his best.
In addition, the move to grayscale in today's comic (back in reality) is a bit jarring at first, but it really adds a whole new dimension to the strip, and I think it is a great move in general. If Kurtz is willing to fully transition into this new style, I think it will really breathe some life back into the comic, from an artistic point of view.
I agree. I'm loving this arc!
Minor nitpick: Isn't Jade supposed to be trapped inside the TARDIS with Brent?
Yeah, my first thought was, wasn't Jade trapped in the Tardis a minute ago?
but in all fairness, this is the first fart-based storyline I've ever found funny.
A good alternate gag would have been to have everybody pile in, get stuck, and then somebody says "you know, it looks a lot bigger from the outside." I thought something like that was going to happen when Cole arrived wanting a look inside, and then Skull came along wanting the same thing.
I've been loving the new greyscale look, and today's strip (Post TARDIS Depression) intros Brent's new chin.
Hm! I think Brent's redesign is great, especially in that I didn't even notice right away, but when I went back to check it seemed just right for him.
Oh yeah, his chin really is a bit different now. I guess the hallucination was real after all. The TARDIS glitched again and took Brent to an alternate Earth where everything is exactly the same except for a strange twist in the gravitational forces which serve to yank Brent's chin out further.
I don't think Brent's new design really fits in with the more realistic turn that SK's art has taken. He actually really reminds me of a character from Clone High USA right now...
