It's nice to see Skull, it feels like it's been a while since we've seen him, but there's not much to say about the latest strip. The joke works; I like Skull in the last panel.
I've never really found Skull (or his ilk) to be all that amusing, so I can't really comment except to say that Jade and Skull are well emoted today. Good "acting" as one of you here put it earlier.
I've seen this formula several times before in sitcoms. The well meaning simpleton wants a job and a position for him is invented that he couldn't possibly screw up. Invariably, despite adversity, the character tries too hard and screws up anyway.
It's better than making him the ring bearer, I suppose.
Hey now, that was actually a rather cute strip! I've missed Skull lately, and while the joke was simple, it has the kind of charm I wish PVP expressed more often. Too often Skull was displayed as brighter than usual lately, leading to a weird discrepancy in his intellect. Skull is supposed to be, well, dim, and it leads to the strip's better comedic moments.
Just like Kurtz. Who is also a buffoon and continues to annoy me with strips like this that have zero originality. Thanks a lot, big guy.
i understand this is an important time for mr kurtz's comic, but this whole storyline is boring the hell out of me. it got to the point where i skipped a few days and when i checked back today, i thought to myself "they're STILL building up to the marriage?!?"
i dont know how many of you are married, but i remember just the overwhelming love and wanting to make the other person happy feeling i had right before i got married, and i think this captures it beautifully.
my out loud reaction was AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!
Achewood
In my opinion, there is no finer web comic than Achewood. You want subtlety of art and a one-of-a-kind worldview? This is it.
Penny Arcade
The classic. Gabe and Tycho are true pioneers in the world of web comics, and few have done more to expand the reach and influence of the medium. Plus they're funny.
Diesel Sweeties
Like PVP, DS has been coasting for some time. But it is worth reading, nonetheless.
PVP
Yes, I do recommend it; its very popularity is what recommends it. It is the ultimate example that web comics can have mainstream appeal, and shouldn't be disregarded by the industry just because they're web comics.

"I became Jade Sienna the day we met"
Does that work?
So much sappy stuff! I suppose it is to be expected for a wedding story, but it's really making my virgin loins shrink back in embarrassed discomfort.
I don't think it works, Caren. My immediate response (which I actually felt the need to say out loud) was "That's stupid."

is a terrible, terrible line. On the plus side, however, his Jade artwork in that strip was very nice.
i thought the Jade Sienna comic is super sweet.
